Este es un curso que se dicta en idioma Ingles. El objetivo es introducir a los estudiantes al mundo de los negocios en el ámbito del Mercosur. Cubre la historia económica moderna de la Argentina y Latinoamérica, las relaciones Brasil-Argentina y las proyecciones de cara al futuro.Es un curso de 8-10 horas, que junto a otro Curso de Study Abroad otorga 1 crédito.

COURSE TITLE: Doing Business in Mercosur

The goal of this course is to introduce students to the Argentine and MERCOSUR business world. The course covers modern Argentine and Latin American economic history, the MERCOSUR and Argentine¬ Brazilian trade relations, the Argentine economy and the success of its many sectors, and prospects for its future.

CLASS 1: The Latin American economy since the 1980s

  • Back to the world.
  • Argentina’s Cconvertibility Law and the Fixed exchange in the 1990s.
  • The three major imbalances.
  • Argentina 2001 crisis.
  • Argentine economic recovery since 2002.
  • The oil and food sectors and Mercosur.
  • The inflationary pressures.
  • Perspectives and forecast for the Mercosur Economy

CLASS 2: Mercosur since Its Creation
