COURSE OBJECTIVES:
- Enquire into principles and concepts behind commercial activities
and organizational structures.
- Clarify the vision of a company within the society and the executive
role of its leaders.
- Contribute with thoughts from the group and the facilitator as
building guiding elements of the decision making process.
- Strengthen each personal philosophy and getting actively involved
in responsible self-development.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE:
Ideas that move the world
- How philosophy concepts impact the creation of human enterprises.
- Analysis of some political and philosophical theories. Their
consequences in the economies and on the way people think and live.
- The idea of the State and its function according to Plato, Hobbes,
Locke and Rousseau.
- Group debate: Doing things right or doing the right things?
- De-brief and conclusions.
Business Intelligence and Society
- Ethical Leadership.
- What a company can do apart from money.
- What executives are responsible for?
- An Intelligent model of Management.
- Means and ends. Reaching objectives at any cost.
- Ethics and Social Responsibility. The macro vision of businessmen.
- Need to tune in with surrounding reality.
The Executive as Person and Leader
- Directors and Company Leaders as builders of the future.
- Importance of Criteria in organizational Philosophy.
- The multiple impacts of Decision making.
- Role of Trust and Hope in business.
- Leadership Attitude.
- Cynicism and success.
- Individual development of the Leader.
- Personal power, associations and performance.
- Personal Excellence.
- Group debate: Being better to perform better. Conclusions.
COURSE METHODOLOGY
This workshop will facilitate the analysis on some of the issues
developed in a environment of participative dialogue. Lectures will
be supported by a presentation followed by a session of questions,
discussion and dialogue.Presentations will be enriched with group
contributions seeking for the best way to implement the considered
topics.
Additional reading will be suggested to support included reading .
